Laing Homes (West Midlands) has been granted full planning permission for an exclusive £7.5 million development in the picture-postcard village of Inkberrow. Barley Meadows is a development of contemporary but sympathetically-designed and spacious family homes, and will consist of just 16 premier detached four- and five-bedroom properties.

Barley Meadows is just off the main A442 linking Worcester to Stratford, and is a greenfield site on former agricultural land, backing onto a tree-lined conservation area. Adjacent is the village primary school and on the other flank a new doctors' surgery built on land donated by Laing Homes.

Sales and marketing director Roger Northam explains: "Inkberrow offers old world charm with a modern identity, and it's extremely sought-after. The development has been met with approval by planners, councillors and locals alike because it will bring much-needed new housing stock to the area."

Inkberrow has a triangular village green just off the high street and features one of the most photographed pubs in England - The Bull's Head is a Grade II-listed timbered building famous for being 'The Bull at Ambridge' in The Archers.

First availability is from early September and starting prices are £359,995 for a four-bedroom home. Call 07771 842493 for further details.
