Malvern College Old Boys (OMs) defeated Tonbridge School Old Boys (OTs) in the final of the Cricketer Cup, played for by 32 schools annually, at Richmond Cricket Club.
Malvern headmaster Hugh Carson suffered from split loyalties throughout the match as he himself had been a pupil at Tonbridge.
The presence of a number of First Class county cricketers in the OM side obviously contributed to their comfortable win.
