Each June more than 100 Friends of Hereford Cathedral gather for a weekend of celebration, fine lunches and to enjoy the delights of the cathedral. This year, they were entertained to a salmon supper in the 15th century College Cloisters, with music provided by pupils from Hereford Cathedral School. Saturday began with a Festival Eucharist in the Lady Chapel, followed by a recital by the lay clerks before returning to the cloisters for lunch, followed by the AGMeeting, presided over by The Lord Lieutenant, Sir Thomas Dunne.

The day conclude with a special Evensong, where The Revd Dr Anthony Harvey, former sub-dean of Westminster Abbey, preached, followed by a Festival tea hosted by various members of the Friends in the cloisters. Many of the Friends visiting from further afield stayed in Herefordshire for the entire weekend and met up again the following morning at the cathedral's Eucharist service. Photographs: David Rose
