Robinson & Sproson in Hagley surpass what you would normally expect from an optician with their excellent level of customer care.

The staff devotes time and attention to each patient, ensuring they receive both an accurate prescription and the most suitable frames and lenses for their lifestyle - whether it is anti-reflection lenses for night driving, robust frames for active children or the most comfortable contact lenses.

As an independent optician Robinson & Sproson are able to select products from a wide range of manufacturers, ensuring the perfect product for their patients.

"You could call it 'lifestyle dispensing'," says Ian Robinson. "At their first consultation, we discuss with the patient their occupation and hobbies. For instance, if someone plays a lot of squash we may suggest polycarbonate lenses, or for computer users we would recommend specialist lenses."

It is due to this approach that patients at Robinson & Sproson enjoy an immediate and excellent level of satisfaction with their spectacles, including varifocals.

Optometrists Nic Sproson, Jamie Wooldridge and Fiona Little set aside 30 to 45 minutes for each consultation to ensure a thorough eye examination and to get the most accurate prescription. During contact lens consultations great care is taken to fit the most suitable lens type and to give patients complete advice on the use and care of their contact lenses.

Lead by practice manager Justine Clarke, staff at Robinson & Sproson offer excellent style advice, helping patients to choose the right frame from an exceptional range. "It can be difficult for new spectacle wearers to know where to begin," says Jenny Haddow, optical assistant, "while patients who have worn the same style for years might be unsure about trying something new."

By looking at the patient's face, shape and colouring, Justine and Jenny can suggest which style is most flattering. The range of frames includes high fashion designs from Chanel, Oakley, Swarovski, Bench and Ray-Ban, and also specialist frame designers exclusive to Robinson & Sproson.

The excellent service doesn't stop there; after their purchase patients are offered complimentary adjustments, minor repairs and ultrasonic cleaning on their spectacles.

The practice enjoys being involved in numerous charitable activities, supporting Vision Aid Overseas and Chernobyl Children's Lifeline as well as the Rotary Club and Sunfield School.

"We have now been established in Hagley for three years," continues Ian, "and we look forward to continuing to serve the community in the future."
