WHY struggle with that turkey when you can get an award-winning chef to do it for you?

That's what's on offer at Alcester's Romna II restaurant, where owner Mish Rahman is offering customers a five-course Christmas Day dinner for just £19.95, or £14.95 for children.

Chef Suhel Kader has just collected a gold award from website Quality Food Online after judges were impressed with his dishes when they paid a visit to the town centre restaurant.

And Suhel is not only a star with Indian cuisine. In a career spanning 10 years, he has also worked with the Hilton hotel group in India.

And although there are Indian and vegetarian options available at the Romna's Christmas Day feast, the majority opt for the traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings.

For those looking for a festive meal with a difference, the Indian options include succulent tiger prawns served on a bed of noodles while the vegetarian dish consists of stuffed shabzi peppers.

Even though there will be two Christmas Day sittings - one at noon, the other at 2pm - advanced booking is essential and a deposit will be required. And as the restaurant is unlicensed, customers are free to take their own alcohol to accompany their meal.

Romna II has been in the family since it opened 11 years ago, while the family's takeaway in Alcester's High Street dates back nearly 25 years.

Last year saw the restaurant given a sleek new look with brown and beige linen throughout, new flooring and artwork on the walls.

But what hasn't changed is the excellent service that has seen customers return time and time again.
