Catshill Pizzaman

'QUALITY food at quality prices' is the motto at Catshill Pizzaman, a new takeaway offering something a little bit different from the norm.

Owners Manjit and Pam Baines have given the open-plan premises a stylish and modern look, with the cooking area in full view so that customers can see their pizza being prepared and cooked in front of them.

Having run the nearby fish and chip shop on Golden Cross Lane for many years, Manjit and Pam are already well-known in the area for good food and good service, and this tradition is set to continue with their new venture. "There was a definite gap in the market for a pizza place - the surrounding area had several other takeaways but no pizza," explains Manjit.

The pizzas are made with fresh dough each day, created by a specialist pizza chef who also uses only the freshest ingredients. The menu features all the favourites you would expect, such as Margherita, Hawaiian and Pepperoni - but Catshill Pizzaman also offers some more unusual toppings.

"We've given some of the pizzas a more ethnic, spicy flavour," Manjit points out. "So many people enjoy Baltis or Chinese food - and we thought we could combine this with pizza."

Tasty-sounding ideas include the Indiano, which involves chicken tikka and green chillies, the Mexicano (spicy beef and pork plus jalapeno pepper), and a sweet and sour Chinese option. Meanwhile, the takeaway also provides a large selection of side orders such as salads, garlic bread and even gateaux for dessert.

Catshill Pizzaman offers free delivery within a three-mile radius (minimum order £10), plus a range of special meal deals for groups or families.
