Four RGS Worcester pupils have been selected to represent Worcestershire in the county's U-13 hockey squad.

Jade Marshall-Walker, aged 12, Jodie Palmer, Francesca Short and Chloe Marshall-Walker, all 11, have started training with the team and look forward to representing their county in competitive games.

The expert coaching, plus the opportunity to compete at a higher level, will certainly enhance their performance. Sarah Partridge, head of girls' sport, is also celebrating after four middle school pupils were selected to play netball for the county.

Catherine Dowty, aged 14, Rachael Gwilt, Hannah White and Emi Lambert, all 15, have been selected to join the Worcestershire county netball development training group.

"We are so proud of these girls," said Miss Partridge. "As the number of girls in the school increases the standards just keep rising. Our teams have performed wonderfully so far this year."
