WORCESTER Warriors continued to bolster their squad in preparation for next season when they completed the signing of Wasps hooker Ben Gotting.

The deal to sign Gotting, exclusively revealed in last Saturday's Worcester News, will see the 25-year-old playing at Sixways until June 2008.

Gotting, who made more than 50 Premiership appearances for Wasps and figured in their Heineken Cup winning team in 2004, is hoping to develop his game at Worcester.

He said: "I'm hugely excited about joining Worcester Warriors. I've been at Wasps since I was 20-years-old so it's a huge step for me, but definitely the right one for my career.

"With such top quality coaches at Sixways, it will help me develop other facets of my career and working with such a dominant pack will be good for my game."

Worcester's director of rugby John Brain said of the six-foot, 16-and-a-half stone front row: "We're delighted to have signed Ben.

"He has a good all-round game and, for a relatively young player, a lot of big match experience. I'm sure that he will thrive in our rugby program."

Worcester have been looking for a new hooker since Andre Van Niekerk said he would be returning to South Africa.
