I REFER to your article about Cliff Lord's views on Worcester. While I agree with a number of Mr Lord's comments - particularly his view that planning for poor quality development is easy to gain and affects civic pride - I disagree with his comments about the need for additional development land on the city boundaries.
It seems to me that Worcester still has plenty of under-utilised space within the existing built environment.
If anyone doubts this, might I suggest that they join me for a walk one day. The city also lacks, in my opinion, a true enterprise culture... partly because so many people are employed in the public sector, including local government.
