SINCE the last meeting, the highlight for some of members was the visit to the gardens of Highgrove House.
The guided tour threw great light on the Prince of Wales' thinking and planning for his extensive grounds. In April, the tulip walk, with up to 10,000 plants blooming over a few weeks, was particularly delightful.
On the same day, another group wandered round the fine collection of trees and shrubs at Westonbirt Arboretum. The May meeting centred on this year's resolutions, with Barbara and Pat leading the discussion.
The evening ended on a lighter note with a version of The Pudding Club. Members indulged in an array of homemade puddings, some healthy, some not so healthy, but all very tempting and delicious.
