A MAN has been arrested in connection with a Redditch abduction in which a man was assaulted, tied up and driven to Birmingham.
But police are still appealing for two people to come forward who spoke briefly with the 37-year-old victim after his black Mercedes 320 collided with a white van in Church Road on May 11.
When the couple drove off, the man was forced into the back of the Ford Transit but he managed to escape when the van reached Erdington.
Det Insp Stacey Williamson, of Redditch police, said: "We don't expect the victim to have any long-term injuries but his ordeal was traumatic."
A man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
But Mr Williamson said the investigation was continuing and police were urging the two people who spoke to the victim to get in touch.
Anyone who may have seen the van, which had "Easy Move" imprinted on the side, is also asked to call police on 08457 444 888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
