I GOT in touch with Redditch Council over two months ago about parking and have not even received an acknowledgement.

Where we live, if we get a parking space we feel lucky.

But then the problems start. If we want to get out in a hurry, we have to find the owners of the cars that have blocked us in.

If we ever needed the emergency services to any of the houses through the night, they wouldn't get anywhere near.

We have grass and bush areas that could be made into parking spaces - they are only used for dogs to mess on and for rubbish to be dumped.

The council has not even been in touch to say it has received my letter.

Maybe the person who opened the letter has a private drive to their house and don't have to bother with us ex-council house owners.

By the way, we did have to get out in the night two years ago when my son had been hit by a car in Birmingham and died.

We had to look for car owners then. You never know when this will happen.
