MEMBERS of an Ipsley church will be making a splash for charity when they 'Walk with Water' on Saturday.

Ramblers at St Peter's Church on Ipsley Church Lane will carry buckets of water around Arrow Valley Lake in Lakeside as part of the 'Make Poverty History' campaign.

Member John Legge said the event was a symbolic activity geared to raise awareness of the plight of people in the developing world, who carry water for long distances to survive.

Donations received on the day will be given to Christian relief charity Tearfund.

Mr Legge has previously featured in the Advertiser for his sponsored walk along the Cotswold Way.
