IT came as no surprise to me to see Jacqui Smith elected for a third term with an increased majority as she is a first-class MP, regardless of party politics.
The Conservatives' reputation as the ''nasty party'' has been very evident in Redditch of late, when they scrapped the bus pass system for the elderly and disabled.
Talk about shooting your self in the foot!
At least Karen Lumley has had the decency to admit they were wrong but I am sorry Karen, although I have always voted Conservative in the past, I did not vote for you this time.
Scrapping the bus passes alienated me as well as many others in Redditch, it seems.
Until you become a more caring party like the Labour Party, you will not get my vote.
