Brockhampton 175 all out Ombersley 178-2
Ombersley win by eight wickets
OMBERSLEY cruised to an easy victory over Worcester League Division One's strugglers Brockhampton on Saturday.
The early season pacesetters were too strong after the enhanced their own chances of challenging for the title.
Duncan Catterall was Ombersley's player of the day after impressive displays with the bat and ball.
He took 6-46 as Brockhampton were bowled out for 178.
Catteralll then top scored with 56 runs as Ombersley made 178-2.
Paul Burden and (54) and J Young (47) also chipped in with important runs.
Romsley and Hunnington 140 all out Ombersley 143-6
Ombersley win by four wickets
A SECOND win over the Bank Holiday weekend propelled Ombersley back to second place on Monday.
Victory over an in-form Romsley side confirmed Ombersley as genuine title contenders.
Catterall continued his red-hot streak with the ball, taking six wickets, as he helped bowl out Romsley for 140. Robsinson then hit 41 as his side struggled to reply with 143-6.
Omberlsey take on Chaddesley Corbett in a top versus bottom clash on Saturday (1.30pm start).
