DAVID Powles produced an outstanding individual performance as Pershore beat Coleshill by three wickets in Division Three.

Powles took 5-40 before returning to smash an unbeaten 106 with the bat.

After winning the toss, skipper Stephen Cooper invited the visitors to bat on a good looking wicket.

Following an early success, the Pershore pace attack was savaged by Ali (41) and Suliman (61) as Coleshill scored 63 in 10 overs.

Spinners Powles and Lee Wilks immediately put a stranglehold on the scoring rate and, backed up by good fielding, ripped through the visitors' middle order. Powles took five wickets and Wilks three as Coleshill lost six wickets for the addition of 48 runs.

Wicketkeeper Bland added a quick 18 before Luke Dalley mopped up the tail with two wickets in two balls, Coleshill all out for 172.

Pershore lost their first three wickets for only seven runs in reply. Powles was joined by Phil Oxley (25) and the pair put on a stand of 57.

After Oxley's dismissal, Liam Ridings (26) came to the wicket to add another 55 runs with Powle.

Martin Johnson came to the wicket with 17 needed before Powles struck consecutive boundaries for his century and a hard fought victory for the hosts.

The Seconds defeated Coleshill by eight wickets.

Skipper Steve Meers asked Coleshill to bat after winning the toss and his bowlers justified the decision with Holly Penwarden taking 5-33 and Les Wild 2-38, bowling the hosts for 168.

Sam Howell led the response with 91 not out, backed up by Gary Stevenson's unbeaten 59, to see Pershore home in 34 overs.

Bromsgrove lost by 92 runs at Shrewsbury.

Kish Patel took four wickets and Nick Husbands three as Shrewsbury posted 209-8. Bromsgrove, who lost by six wickets at Walmley on Saturday, lost Julian Court for four as well as Edwards (18), debutnat Tom Green (0) and Richard Barnes (0).

Davies (38) was out caught behind, while Evenson (20) and Hamilton (7) put on 26, but it was not enough as Bromsgrove capitulated to 117 all out.

The Seconds earned a winning draw at Pelsall.

Steve Chinn top scored with 40 as the St Godwald's side posted 158.

B Clarke took 6-43 in Pelsall's reply of 132-9.
