MARTIAL ARTS: Redditch instructor Roy Hancock, who has been in martial arts for 35 years, was graded and promoted to the rank of 6th Dan ju-jitsu by the British Kempo Ju-jitsu Federation.
Hancock, a well-known character through his teaching at local clubs, secured his grading at a course held in Woolacombe, Devon.
And the event was made even more memorable as Hancock's son Rory obtained his third Dan black belt in judo at the same course.
Hancock said: "We both really enjoy instructing the next generation of Redditch martial artists especially the children who keep us on our toes."
