CLARE Teal has been described as a major star with "an extraordinary voice, the ability to write songs that promise to become classics and a wonderfully sharp wit."

Following two previous outstanding performances at Malvern Theatres, Clare returns on June 18.

After signing with Sony Jazz at the end of last year in an unprecedented deal that has broken all records for a UK jazz singer, Clare is now poised to become a household name around the world.

During the last few years Clare has played at jazz clubs and festivals throughout the country and wowed thousands when she played the OneWorld stage at Glastonbury.

Speaking about her forthcoming concert in Malvern, she said: "I hope every person in the audience leaves with a big grin on their face and the feeling that they have been entertained, that they have got to know me and are taking something away with them."

With writing influences including Cole Porter, Noel Coward, Kurt Weill, Dusty Springfield and more recently Neil Hannan of Divine Comedy, this evenings programme ranges from ballads to dynamic originals.
