VOLUNTEERS across Worc-estershire who assist the National Trust in its gardens, historic houses and countryside properties are being thanked for all their hard work during National Volunt-eers Week this week.
Throughout the county, residents are volunteering in all kinds of roles from working behind the scenes to room stewarding, to caring for the Trust's many gardens and supporting the Trust's commitment to lifelong learning.
National Trust Community and Volunteering Officer Lisa Goldsmith said volunteers are needed for a wide range of roles.
"No previous experience is needed as the National Trust provide training for all volunteers, just enthusiasm and willing to get involved," she added.
At Hanbury Hall, near Droitwich the Trust needs volunteers to assist in the garden, drive the buggy and give introductory talks and guided tours.
Meanwhile, at Croome Park, near Pershore, there is a need for garden stewards, gardeners and 'taster tour' guides to put their names forward.
The smaller properties in the region also need support - in the heart of Worcester city the Greyfriars is looking for volunteers to help serve refreshments.
At the Brockhampton estate, near Bromyard, Worcester-shire, volunteers are needed to help out at events and show visitors around Lower Brock-hampton.
