STAFF at Cannons Health and Fitness club in Worcester will be getting into a spin next week when they attempt a continuous 12-hour exercise bike marathon.
The effort, next Monday, is to raise money for The British Heart Foundation's Help a Heart Week which starts on Saturday.
Around 10 people will participate throughout the day, covering an estimated 100 miles in return for donations.
The site, in Droitwich Road, is one of 63 Cannons and Courtneys centres taking part in the event. The leisure operator hopes to cover around 6,000 miles on the day - which is equivalent to the distance between London and Los Angeles.
"We're really 'going the extra mile' at Cannons this year to raise money for Help a Heart Week," said Andy Woolley, general manager.
Cannons has also pledged to donate £1 for every new member joining during the week.
