Youngsters at a Worcester infants school donned eye patches and brandished stuffed parrots to celebrate their last day before the half-term holidays.
The children of St Mary's Convent School, in Battenhall Avenue, have been learning about the sea and the creatures that live there.
"We decided that, to finish off the half-term, it would be nice to have a pirate theme," said early learning
co-ordinator Sam Salisbury.
"The children had a fabulous day. They have really enjoyed themselves."
She said the children took part in activities including making pirate ships, concocting pirate punch drinks and having their faces painted.
