A TRIO of Worcestershire cricketers have been selected in the England one-day squad for the forthcoming NatWest Triangular Series against Bangladesh and Australia.

Vikram Solanki, Kabir Ali and Gar-eth Batty were today announced in the party, which will also compete in the first ever Twenty 20 international with Australia, held at Hampshire's Rosebowl on June 20.

Off-spinner Batty has also retained his place for this week's second npower Test against Bangladesh.

The 27-year-old was part of the England side that crushed the lacklustre sub-continent nation in the first Test at Lord's by an emphatic innings and 261-run triumph.

Batty replaced England's main spinner Ashley Giles, who again misses out at Chester-le-Street this Friday with a troublesome hip injury.

However, Droitwich Spa-based Giles has been included in the one-day squad even though his fitness remains in serious doubt.

Jon Lewis is the only uncapped player to be named in England's squad for the second Test. The Gloucestershire seamer missed out in the opening victory but will hope for better fortune in the North East after being selected in the 12-man squad.

England one-day squad: Vaughan (Yorks), Trescothick (Som), Collingwood (Dur), Pietersen (Hants), Solanki (Worcs), Flintoff (Lancs), G Jones (Kent), Giles (Warks), S Jones (Glam), Harmison (Dur), Kabir Ali (Worcs), Gough (Essex), Lewis (Gloucs).
