MALVERN CC U11s earned a hard-fought win against rivals Worcester Nomads on Wednesday.
Malvern batted first and scored 275 for the loss of only two wickets, Hennessey top scoring with nine, but with important contributions from Davis and Ziegler.
In reply, Nomads lost wickets too frequently despite scoring the same runs off the bat as Malvern. Butler, Johnes, Thomasson and Dowar all contributed to the score but three late wickets from Carlen and two from Ziegler reduced the visitors to 229 to leave Malvern winners by 36 runs.
