FOR the third week in succession Colwall batted first and once again the flashing blade of David Powell set the innings off to a racing start when he took three boundaries from the third over.
COLWALL v TROWBRIDGE
He was then undone by a ball from Hickerton which took off outside the off stump which he thick edged to gully.
Matt Fortnum joined his skipper Tom Wolfendale and both looked largely untroubled by the Trowbridge attack.
At 40-1 the heavens opened and play was abandoned.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Colwall are away at Devises for a league game.
