MANOR Park Bowls Club had the honour of hosting the prestigious match between the counties of Glamorgan and Worcestershire on Wednesday last week, when Worcestershire won by 18 shots.
Les Thomas, the Manor Park president, welcomed the presidents, officials and member of both sides before the game started, wishing both associations good fortune.
He said he was sure they would have an excellent game that day, having recently played on the surface and found it to be the best he had ever known it for the time of year.
The weather remained favourable throughout the afternoon, with everyone ultimately enjoying a meal prepared and served by the host team members.
