CYCLISTS are gearing up to follow in Elgar's tracks in the Macmillan Elgar Cycle Ride.
The event, on June 12, offers both 25 and 50-mile routes, visiting sites associated with the composer, himself a keen cyclist.
There will also be stop-offs at the Elgar Birthplace Museum in Lower Broadheath, which will offer two-for-one entry to participants.
Local Macmillan organiser Jon Rayner said: "Elgar was a keen cyclist and the beauty of our Worcestershire countryside was the source of much of his inspiration. He cycled thousands of miles and for much of the ride our cyclists will be following in his wheel-tracks."
Registration is £5. Call 01527 892540.
