Concerning the protest group intent on keeping land at the back of Hayslan Green free of houses, I would have more sympathy for them if I did not feel deep down most of them simply want a local field to 'walk' their dogs. Nothing wrong with that, of course, as long as they clean up after them, but do they?
I now ban my three children from playing in that area - not because it was ploughed up, quite rightly, in my view, but because it is now too contaminated.
Mrs Jenkins (Your Letters, May 13) was quite right, we really do need to consider the health risks. Sadly, most dog owners remain in a state of denial
