I AM sure that thousands of people like me, who have sensitive skins, purposely buy very soft-textured garments of 100 per cent cotton or woollen weave - things like shirts, blouses, pyjamas etc.
Why is it, then, that the suppliers always stitch their label at the centre of the collar seem, just at the nape of the neck?
The label is always of an artificial fabric - harsh, almost abrasive, to the touch. After a short time it begins to tickle, then to itch, and finally even make the neck a bit sore!
Cut it out! You suppliers! - I cut the damned label off as soon as I get the thing! At the best, as some of you now do, put your label down a side seam or on the bottom one.
Anyway! - even in less intimate bedtime encounters - who the hell was ever interested in who made my pyjamas?
