CHILDREN aged between seven and 11 will be able to try their hands at writing with quills and making lavender bags and pomanders at Harvington Hall next week.

The historic landmark is hosting a Tudor activity day on Thursday, June 2, which will also enable youngsters to try archery and play old games.

Places are limited and must be booked.

More information can be obtained by calling the hall on 01562 777846.

The hall is also hosting the second of this year's Living History weekends on Sunday, May 29 and Monday, May 30.

The event will be themed on the mid-16th century and the reign of Elizabeth I, during which the hall was completed.
