AFTER an "absolutely diabolical" turnout to auditions to star in a remake of Eric Prydz's sexy music video, Call on Me, a Kidderminster cameraman has enlisted the star of a cult US television show to help drive the search.

After his disappointment at only 15 people turning up to the first round of auditions at Oliver's caf bar in Kidderminster on May 8, Tom Arnold has arranged to repeat them at The Gainsborough Hotel on Sunday.

This time - after just two of the 15 went through to the second round of auditions - the founder of Kidderminster-based company, Global TV, has cast his net further afield in his search for the "UK's top 50 guys" by advertising in The Stage and other national press.

He has also arranged for KITT, the talking car from cult 1980s television show, Knight Rider, to be parked in the car park of the Kidderminster hotel as an added attraction.

Tom, a 28-year-old former cameraman on the BBC One drama, Casualty, told the Shuttle/Times & News: "Say a father wants to audition for the video, the kids can see KITT and then go upstairs with mum."

He added: "It's going to be good this time. We've already got more than 200 people coming."
