A CRAFTS evening was held in May, when Hazel Wood showed members how to create a greetings card, using a piece of lace as a stencil.
Linda Lambert also made cards, using pre-painted tea-bags papers, which were folded and pasted onto card to make a relief design.
Barbara Smith demonstrated flower arranging, making two arrangements, and also displayed three dried arrangements in baskets.
Possible destinations for the August outing were discussed, including Slimbridge, Gloucester and Stapeley Water Gardens.
The competition was for a craft item, and Ms Wood won this with a home-made car.
There were only three entries for "Flower of the month", which Jenny Vanderhook won, with Stella Wilcox second and Ms Smith third.
On Tuesday, June 14 at the parish hall, there will be "Fun with Clay", starting at 7.30pm.
Visitors will be welcome.
