THE first annual meeting was held on May 16, when Graham Baldwin was re-elected as chairman.

Isobel Walker stepped down from the committee, due to work commitments, and her place has been taken by Dawn McHugh.

Other officers and committee members were re-elected.

A garden ramble will take place on Sunday, July 3 from 2pm until 5pm, when four local gardens will be open for viewing.

Car parking space will be available at the village hall. Admission to the gardens is by programme, which can be obtained from the village hall. Children will be admitted free, but must be accompanied by an adult. There will be a treasure trail leaflet for children.

Refreshments and plants will be on sale at the hall.

Anyone with surplus plants, which the group could sell on the day, is asked to contact secretary Margaret Taylor, on 01299 826256, who will arrange collection.
