PERSHORE Firsts were cut down by early leaders Barnt Green in the Fearnley Factory Shop Worcestershire Sunday Club League.
Luke Eversham's youthful side gave Green problems early on and reduced them to 40-5.
But Steve Rhodes (38), Max Walker (26) and Ian Jackson (12) helped Green recover to 152 all out.
The bowling efforts of Luke Dalley (4-44) and Lachlan McKenzie (3-39) gave Pershore hope of a success though.
In reply, Pershore's young top order found the Green attack difficult to handle and slumped to 24-4.
A stand of 91 runs between David Powles and McKenzie (22) put the visitors back on track.
But Powles' dismissal for an excellent 67 from just 63 balls saw the town fall behind the asking rate.
