TOWNSFOLK in Evesham and visitors are to be treated to family fun-filled entertainment next weekend.
Bengeworth Traders have been busy organising this year's Medieval Festival taking place in Workman Gardens on Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5.
This will be the third event of its kind and has been set up to promote businesses in Port Street and the Bengeworth area.
The festival, which is free of charge, has been funded by a £5,000 lottery grant.
As well as promoting business, the festival has been organised to educate people about Evesham's history.
Katie Gilbert, a member of Bengeworth Traders, said: "The weekend is a great day out for everyone, it's a nice two-day event for the whole family."
The festival will include a wide range of attractions and top of the bill is a medieval battle re-enactment.
Stilt walkers, Morris dancers and jesters will be there to entertain the crowds. Visitors can also get involved by taking part in court dancing, trying their hands at archery and sampling the local ales.
For children there's a bouncy castle and small fairground. The festival will be topped off by a medieval banquet in a marquee in the evening.
Anyone wanting to know more about the festival and for tickets to the banquet, can contact Katie Gilbert on 01386 45222.
