PORCELAIN figures worth hundreds of pounds each were stolen in a burglary in Cookley.
The theft was carried out in the village's Austcliffe area. Among items taken were four Royal Doulton ladies valued at £800, three Coalport ladies worth £600 and three mini Coalport ladies worth £750.
Various Ainsley chinaware and cut glass items, as well as furniture, were taken during the incident, between 11.55pm on Wednesday, May 11 and 8.30pm on Friday, May 13.
A police spokesman said: "Some very distinctive items were stolen in this burglary and we are appealing to anyone who saw anything that might be connected to the incident or has been offered any of these items for sale since to give us a call."
