A KIDDERMINSTER man drove dangerously after a drink of alcohol and taking slimming pills with a slight amphetamine content, his barrister told Worcester Crown Court.
James Lloyd, 22, of Kingsford Lane, Wolverley, near Kidderminster, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving on roads in Worcester and Kidderminster on January 24 last year.
John Attwood, defending, said Lloyd acknowledged that a policeman was injured during the course of his arrest but it was not his intention to cause harm.
Miss Sally Hancocks, prosecuting, said a policeman was injured after Lloyd's car had been followed but the Crown accepted his broken leg was caused by another police vehicle.
Recorder John Maxwell ordered two allegations of assault causing actual bodily harm should lie on the file and not be proceeded with unless the court gave permission.
Lloyd was remanded on bail for a pre-sentence report.
