THE Farnborough-based consortium interested in taking over Kidderminster Harriers have issued this solicitor's statement about their plans for the club.

IN light of recent press speculation concerning the potential take over of Kidderminster Harriers, my client has sought to release a statement in order to clarify any confusion surrounding the intention of the consortium and to give assurances to the Club's fans about the intentions that the consortium have for the future of the club.

The consortium are committed to the future of Kidderminster Harriers Football Club with the aim of getting the club back into the Football League.

The consortium genuinely wish to promote the club and develop it in both the on-field and off-field activities.

However, the core activity has to be a team that performs well on the pitch and the consortium believe they are best placed to offer finances to help develop the team and to achieve the goal of promotion.

The consortium has made official approaches to the shareholders and the Board in order that the consortium can review the financial position of the club however the Board have so far refused to allow access to the financial records.

To date the reason for doing so has not been fully explained. The consortium will continue to pursue their interest in Kidderminster Harriers to ensure the stability and success of the club in the future.
