BOTH Cookley teams are now rooted to the bottom of their respective divisions following another barren weekend in the Worcestershire County League Division Two.

The first team's season goes from bad to worse and for the second time in four games the team failed to post a total of100.

This time they were skittled out for 72 at Malvern, Adam Dovey doing the damage with seven wickets and the home side knocking off the runs without losing a wicket and claiming 24 points.

The second team tried to make a game of it against leaders Malvern at Lea Lane despite appalling weather conditions.

But with only a losing draw to show for it they may have been better off if the game had been abandoned when the rain came.

At least Gary Field came out of the game with some credit with an unbeaten 43 as the villagers chased Malvern's total of 188-7.
