EVESHAM and Malvern Hills College took six students to the West Midlands Colleges Athletics Championship at Nunnery Wood.
Of all the achievements on the day, the most memorable was the 800m race in which Chris Davies competed. Not only did he win in a staggering time of two minutes and 17seconds, but also did it on his 18th birthday!
Shaun Stanley reached the 100m finals in a qualifying time of 12.08 before finishing sixth out of the 24-strong entry.
Darrel Bettley came second in the shot putt after throwing a superb 10.5 metres.
Andrew Addis and Mark Gordon Brandon both competed in the 1500m and long jump with the former finishing third and jumping 5.28m, while his teammate leapt 4.53m
Bettley and Addis both completed in the triple jump recording 10.86 and 10.58m respectively.
