Prudden Road Surfacing League

DEFENDING champions Stratford B have pulled away from the rest after enjoying a surprisingly comfortable win over closest rivals Chipping Campden.

Inkberrow benefited from a 4-0 walkover as Stratford C failed to field a side and this allowed the winners to move into second spot.

The only other Premier Division fixture saw Littleton move out of the bottom two after a shock victory over Studley.

Once again Stratford B had braced themselves for a tough match but they had little difficulty in disposing of their opponents in straight sets.

The best top flight fixture of the week saw Littleton record a great victory over last year's runners-up with Sean Witheford and Andy Reynolds setting the scene with and excellent 6-4, 6-4 success over Dave Innes and Chris Hughes.

Olly Ermanis and Elliott Barrett making their league debut secured a fantastic result with a whitewash of Paul Challens and Chris McGregor before Witheford and Reynolds sealed the win with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory over Challens and McGregor.

Innes and Hughes gained a consolation point for Studley when overcoming Ermanis and Barrett 6-0, 6-2.

FISSC hold a narrow one-point gap in Division One over second-placed Shipston with Littleton B a couple of points adrift.

Division Two sees unbeaten Evesham dominating, while Aston Cantlow have won three 3 out of four to occupy second place. Ilmington recorded their first win but still prop up the table.

The only match in the fourth division saw leaders Snitterfield open up a three-point lead after a 3-1 win over Ullenhall.

Studley took advantage of Moreton's inactivity to take over the top of the third division. The new leaders defeated Bidford B 4-1 to move two points clear at the summit.

Campden B leapfrogged Littleton to move third after a 3-1 success, while Henley B's fine draw at Shipston moved them off the foot of the table at Bidford's expense.
