A host of talent with Worcestershire connections will be on show in Bank Holiday Monday's Albrighton Woodland point-to-point meeting at Chaddesley Corbett (2pm start).

There will be plenty of interest from Worcestershire trainers and owners in Monday's races.

Worcester trainer Michael Hammond will be aiming to maintain his good record and relying on wife Zoe to steer All Eyes on Me to victory in the members race.

Stourbridge owner Diana Williams is banking on Little Brown Bear and Step and Run to secure a victory also.

Winning Town will be hungry to go one step further than 2004 and improve on its runners-up spot.

Last year's success stories, Philtre and Snowtre though are struggling for form after a disappointing 2005.

The Albrighton Meeting is normally the end of season finale for the point-to-point series, but with the Harkaway Club's event being held on June 11 because of previous cancellations it has struggled to find riders.

Organisers have attracted 195 in the Maiden Division.

There are 31 entries in Division One of the maiden and 30 in Division Two.

Hanley Castle trainer Andy Hobbs and owner Clive Hitchings have included four strong entries - Fontaine Again, Jarode, Saint Reverien and Springbrook Girl.

However, they will be given a tough race if Bosuns Mate and New Lodge Express find their form.

Totland Bay, owned and trained by Worcester's Dr Richard Newland, is also in the running.

Veteran horse Jemaro will be the favourite to hold onto the title it won in last season's mixed open race.

The horse broke the course record and is expected to have the edge over Billywill, Dante's Battle, Magician and Hobycyr.

In the intermediate race Wind on the Common will be pushed all the way by Finne Gaoithe, Glacial River and Highlands, but stablemate Arctic Cherry is the favourite in the restricted race.
