RESULTS from the second round of pool matches for the PRS Junior Cup leave Snitterfield, Studley, Ships-ton and Inkberrow in strong positions.
Last month's Pool A winners Alcester began well as Jack Bate and Simon Sloan defeated Leo Hodges and Adam Ashfield 6-1.
Hosts Bidford also got the better of Stratford 6-3 thanks to their duo of Harry Naylor and Scott Nash who then lost 6-2 to Bate and Sloan.
However, it was the Snitter-field duo of Tom Griffiths and Jonathan Gill who emerged triumphant on the night as they beat Stratford 7-5, Bidford 7-5 and Alcester 7-6 after a tie-break.
Pool B saw Studley's Jack Allum and David Pilkington claim overall victory after wins over Claverdon's Kieran Kavi and Jamie Kirk (6-3), Law-rence Tibbs and Adam Barber of Tanworth-in-Arden 6-1 and Henley's Harry Leek and William Bayliss 6-2.
The latter pairing who had dominated the previous month, redeemed themselves with 6-1 wins over both their Tanworth and Claverdon opponents.
Shipston A's pair again proved too strong in Pool C with Andy Moss and Nick Taylor defeating B teamers Sam Buckingham and Tom Killeen 6-2.
They then overcame Chip-ping Campden's Nick Hudson and Toby Robinson 6-1 who in turn lost out 6-2 to Shipston B.
Campden's only consolation - along with the two Shipston sides - was a 6-0 walkover awarded against Moreton-in-the-Marsh who failed for the second successive month to field a team.
Pool D produced predictable results as Inkberrow were again too strong for both their opponents as Ricky Allan and Chris Smith defeated Rory Martyn-Smith and Stuart Whitehouse of Ombersley 6-2 and Pershore's Josh Carr and Sam Cross 6-3.
