A LOVING Catshill couple have celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Stan and Gladys Albutt, of Shelley Close, first met when Stan was playing drums at the old Labour club, in Church Street, Bromsgrove.
At the time Stan, aged 23, was living at Wildmoor Lane, Catshill, and Gladys, 31, lived in Aston Fields.
Married
Two years later the couple married and moved in with Glady's mum in Aston Fields. They later moved to All Saints Road and Charford and then 37 years ago moved to their present home.
Stan, a former carpenter, and Gladys have a son together, Peter, and Gladys has a daughter, Ann. They have four grand children and one great grandchild.
According to the couple the secret of their long and happy marriage is both pulling together.
