A SCHOOL in Bromsgrove is encouraging its pupils to take the healthy option and ride or walk to school.
Meadows First School, Stourbridge Road, is taking part in the Riders and Striders scheme set up by Worcestershire County Council.
The scheme aims to improve the number of youngsters that ride or walk to school rather than get a lift. It also aims to help the environment by cutting down pollution.
Sarah Date, scheme co-ordinator at Meadows First School, said: "We want to encourage young people to ride or walk to school on a regular basis and understand the importance of staying fit and looking after the environment."
