A TALENTED Bromsgrove schoolgirl wasn't talking rubbish when she won a top poetry contest on recycling and waste.
Aston Fields Middle School pupil Jodi Ward, aged 11, scooped first prize in the up to 11 age category of the Talking Rubbish? poetry competition.
The Rigby Lane resident won £25 worth of book tokens and £100 for her school to spend on an environmental project.
The contest was run by The Duckworth Worcestershire Trust, which is dedicated to the conservation, protection and enhancement of natural and built environments in the county.
