Sally Taylor's demonstration, 'red sky at night,' transported members into the delights of the Gloucestershire countryside.
As a farmer's daughter, Sally had many amusing experiences to relate at the same time as demonstrating her flower arranging skills with six arrangements ranging from the red sky at night, the hedgerow, the milking parlour, farm machinery and harvest time - all with the most inventive props and appropriate flowers. This was a demonstration with a difference and was much enjoyed.
The competition, spring basket, was won in the advanced section by the chairman, Blinder Winroope, and in the intermediate section by Sheila Hampton.
The next meeting will be at 2pm on Monday, June 13, 'flights of fancy' by Sue Blandford, in Lickey Parish Hall, Old Birmingham Road. All are welcome.
