FORMER England opener Nick Knight met up with an old adversary at Stratford yesterday in the shape of Australian Shane Warne.

The pair tossed up ahead of the four-day Frizzell County Champion-ship clash at Swan's Nest Lane and it was Warne who won this particular contest as the visitors elected to bat.

But, the Hampshire skipper was left regretting that decision as he found himself back in the middle in mid-afternoon as Warwickshire made inroads into the visitors' batting.

When Dougie Brown removed the Aussie without scoring, Hampshire had slumped to 145-7 and the same bowler then removed England Test hopeful Kevin Pietersen without addition to the score before the innings ended on 184 in the 62nd over.
