Match abandoned because of rain
BIG hitting batsman Geoff Day had his day ruined as bad weather forced off this Worcester League Division Two clash on Saturday.
Day was on 43, and his team on 104-3, when rain forced the match off.
The 'Tons take on Hagley on Saturday and Pedmore on Bank Holiday Monday.
Belbroughton's seconds were also frustrated by the rain, as their game with Kidderminster (who were on 60-4) was abandoned.
In Division Five Belbroughton's match against Chainwire was also called off.
However, in Division Seven the Tons leapt to the top of the table by defeating Worcester by eight wickets.
Olly Smith took 4-38 as Worcester were bowled out for 97, before Seb Knight hit 38 as his made 98-2.
