FOUR Hereford United players represented England National Game XI last night in their 1-0 Four Nations tournament victory over Ireland.

Bulls' full-backs Simon Travis and Mark Robinson both started the Cork fixture, along with striker Adam Stansfield, while midfielder Craig Stanley appeared as a second-half substitute.

Stevenage forward Anthony Elding scored the decisive 69th-minute strike to hand England their opening group win ahead of tomorrow evening's fixture with Wales.

However, Travis is unlikely to play any further part in the tournament after being stretchered off the pitch with a suspected rib or pelvic injury.

Travis, 28, and Stansfield, 26, have both committed themselves to United next season by signing new 12-month contracts. Robinson, Stanley and several other first-team squad members at Edgar Street are still pondering their futures.
