The 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar will be commemorated at a well-known Worcester-shire venue with a celebration of Britain's rich maritime history.
The drama of the extraordinary maritime stories is to be highlighted at Hanbury Hall, at Hanbury, near Droitwich, as part of SeaBritain 2005, a national celebration of the event, which is due to take place next Wednesday.
Visitors to Hanbury Hall can participate and learn more about history with a day packed full of activities.
Families can explore the gardens in a quest to find hidden treasure by taking part in a treasure trail, and children can create a mythological sea monster and have face painting.
Sea Dog Admiral Vernon will also be on hand to explore the maritime connections of Hanbury Hall and there will be other nautical takes to be told.
Additionally, themed food will be served throughout the day in Hanbury Hall's Tea Room including Carrot Sharks and Sea Soup.
